Art Deco in Interior Design

In 1925 at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs Industriels et Modernes which was held in Paris a new very promising movement started to flourish. The famous Art Deco, presented an opposite view from the other movements and a scientific progress. A modern style used in many departments. The most defining characteristics of Art Deco are:

✴️Geometric shapes - curved edges,zigzag lines,triangular shapes
✴️The importance of the furniture. The furniture as the center of attention in the room
✴️Graphic patterns like flowers and nuts
✴️The new materials - iron,walnut wood,sculptures in ivory,plastic,aluminium etc.
